This revived a Kindle that I have had for 8 years that finally refuse t take a charge.

This is a well kept secret, and not available from Amazon (for obvious reasons). Easy to fix a Kindle that you have given up trying to revive. Popped the back off the Kindle, removed the old battery from the power clip, and did the reverse to install. The supplied tools fit the rare screw type perfectly with no damage. Charged it up, and my Kindle is back. Great investment - a replacement kindle would have been about $150. Youtube videos can walk you through.
