This battery is what it is advertised as - a replacement for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 tablet. The tool provided to open the case with is absolutely useless for the first step of separating the top from the bottom. It is far too thick to be able to fit between the silver 'rim' and the plastic case. I had to use a steak knife to actually break the seal, and even that wasn't easy. Once the seal was broken and I used the knife to lift the top part of the case, I could use the tool to slide around the tablet and actually get the #$*& top off. Because there probably is no tool that can actually accomplish the entire task of opening the tablet, I am not deducting any points. I am rating the battery only.

I have no idea how long the battery will actually remain strong. It is replacing a 4 year old battery that was the original one whose charge capacity had dwindled from 12 - 15 hours to less than 8 hours of use. So far (and it has just been a week), I am back to 12+ hours, depending on what I am using the tablet for.
